While a cheap way to capture CO2, this method ignores many of the other environmental pressures our landscapes are facing. In fact, it may even cause more harm in the long-term by absorbing the runoff from rain before it enters nearby streams and creeks. Breathe Easy goes further than other monoculture planting schemes, by focusing on large-scale planting of a broad mix of local tree and shrub species. We use a combination of direct seed sowing and seedling planting in strategic areas chosen for their need for environmental repair.
